Position: Head of Energy
Suzan is Head of Energy at Africa Specialty Risks and is a qualified chemical engineer with over 12 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
Suzan has a broad range of experience; holding positions such as Risk Engineer at XL Global Services, Senior Underwriter at XL Insurance, Engineering Risk Consultant at Arup, and Senior Energy Underwriter at Lloyd’s syndicate Navigators. A specialist in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, the latter position came with a responsibility for a global onshore energy book of business within Navigators.
Suzan is also an active committee member of the London Oil and Petrochemical Risk Association and the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Taking a hands on approach to business on the continent, Suzan was brought up in Africa and completed her education in London.
