The Africa Specialty Risks team is extremely diverse and has extensive experience of living and working across Africa.  Through our local market networks and partnerships, ASR have unique access and insight to local business.

BII is owned by the UK Government (though the government is not involved with the firms operations) and has GBP 7.5bn billion in total assets and invests between GBP 1.5bn-2.0bn annually in developing markets.

 

IFC is an international financial institution that offers investment, advisory, and asset management services to encourage private-sector development in less developed countries to create markets that open opportunities for all.  In fiscal year 2022, IFC committed a record USD 32.8 billion to private companies & financial institutions in developing countries. The IFC is a sister organization of the World Bank and member of the World Bank Group

FinDev Canada is Canada’s development finance institution (DFI), supporting the private sector in developing markets to promote sustainable development providing financial services aimed at growing the local private sector in developing countries. FinDev Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of EDC, which is wholly owned by the Government of Canada.
