Brian McGregor

Brian has over 30 years reinsurance experience at leading global insurers.

Brian has substantial experience of the broad and varied African markets having underwritten risks whilst in Johannesburg initially, as well as from Zurich & London. He brings significant international property experience to the African markets, leveraging his experience on the Swiss Re Europe FAC leadership team and as Senior Underwriter at the Wholesale International Underwriting Desk of Royal & SunAlliance. Before joining ASR, Brian was the Chief Underwriting Officer at One Risk Africa, an African focused MGA based in London.

Brian is South African born and is a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He studied for an Associate’s degree in Insurance at the Insurance Institute of South Africa and has a BSc in Programming and Mathematics from the Open University.
